Cute Clothes and a Giveaway!

Ugh.  I have been writing two days worth of sub plans so I can be out and do interviews for a new teacher on our grade level.  I tend to get VERY detailed in my plans.  I'm not sure why... nothing ever goes the way I want it to... but, what can I do?  I'll be back with my kiddos on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to seeing them all again!  Two days is a LONG time to be out.

Anyway, I thought I would share an a-DOR-able blog I found a while ago from Ms. BBZ - another second grade blogger.  She has some really cute posts about school clothes.  Clothes AND teaching??  What more can a girl want?  You can check her out here.  I love to see what other teachers are wearing.  Everyone has such cute clothes!  It is just getting to be warm enough here to be able to wear some of my spring clothes and shoes, which is good, because I am really tired of my boots.  And believe me, I think they are tired, too.  They certainly look it.

My favorite place to shop is Loft.  And no, they are not paying me to say that.  I pay them... quite a lot, actually.  Here's a picture of a dress I wore this weekend.
(and by the way, when I went to their site to link the picture,
I discovered they have added MORE dresses!  Oh, lucky me!)

This is not me in the dress.  I wish.  But feel free to think that's what I look like.  Works for me.  I bought the dress online and I really wasn't sure I would like it, but the reviews said it was "da bomb."  Do you look at reviews when you buy things online?  I do.  I look, and then make my own decision because of course I should do that... but I like to know what other people think.

My sister and brother-in-law's anniversary is this week and they wanted some solar lights from a certain well-known chain.  They were in the catalog so I went online to order them - and of course I looked at the reviews.  1 star.  Out. of. 5.  Not good.  People said things like, "Really cheap.  Not worth the money."  and "Don't work.  I am returning them."  Now, my question is, should I still have gotten them because it's what they wanted?  (and keep in mind I'm pretty sure their only visual of them was in the catalog, as well.)  I did not get them.  I did not want to be the person who bought them an anniversary gift that was cheap and didn't work.  Not me.  Have to think of something else...

If you got all the way to the end of this rambling blog post, you have been rewarded with a link to a great giveaway!  (There really is an educational tie to this whole thing.  I promise.)  Ms. BBZ  (the cute teacher clothes blogger I mentioned above) has put together a fantastic giveaway.  More than 70 TpT sellers donated items - including me, of course!  There are 3 different packets you can win - K-1, 2-3 and 4-6.  You can enter by clicking the button below to go to her site.

While you're there, click around and check out the other great ideas she has.  I'm going back to Loft online and see those new dresses...  Where is your favorite place to shop for school clothes?

  1. You are TOO sweet - and hilarious - I laughed out loud at, "This is not what I look like - I wish. Feel free to think that's what I look like." You and me both, girl. I look at "models" in my clothes and think, "I WISH that dress hung that well on me!" Ohhhh well!

  2. I love looking at teacher bloggers who talk about fashion as well!!
